The problem of uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections (LUTI) in young sexually active women remains relevant due to certain anatomical and physiological patterns. Despite the fact that an acute episode of cystitis in non-pregnant women does not require mandatory urine culture test, regular monitoring of LUTI pathogens and their antibiotic sensitivity is necessary to sel ect the optimal antibacterial therapy. The article presents the urine culture test results of patients with uncomplicated LUTI symptoms, who were treated in outpatient clinics of two Moscow administrative districts in 2021–2022. These results were also compared with similar data obtained in the 2013–2014 period. It was shown that Escherichia coli still retains a leading position in the structure of LUTI pathogens, in the setting of a tendency to increase the Enterococcus faecalis proportion. At the same time, there was a tendency to increase the pathogen resistance to fluoroquinolones. Сoincidently, fosfomycin, nitrofurantoin and cifexim showed high activity against the LUTI pathogens, which varied fr om 90 to 99%.

Keywords: women, cystitis, antibiotic resistance, antibiotic sensitivity, monitoring, fluoroquinolones, fosfomycin.
