For clinicians: algorithm of comlex approach to osteoarthritis management

Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most common joint disease and one of the main causes of disability, leading to decline in quality of life and high financial costs. Main objectives of OA therapy: reducing the severity of symptoms, improvement of patient's functional activity, slowing of OA progression, improving patients quality of life. Choice of tactics of OA management assumes the complex approach - understanding of pain's pathogenetic causes and evaluation of patient's comorbidity (arterial hypertension, coronary artery disease, obesity, etc.). New guidelines of Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) offer personalized approach to the choice of OA management, based on analysis of comorbidity, assessment of risk and safety of prescribed drugs. Algorithm of OA management is based on lesion severity, pain intensity, therapeutic effect of various pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches and has logical steps. Personalized approach to tactics choice primarily based on  analysis of risks of medicamentous treatment and presence of concomitant diseases. Zeel T is an effective and safe homeopathic medication for patient with OA and comorbidity. This drug has pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgetic efffect as well as chondroprotective and chondro-stimulative activity. Various dosage forms of Zeel T are used in complex management of OA.
