Every year, acute respiratory diseases rank first among other medical care encounters. Diseases of upper and lower respiratory tract, as well as ENT-organs, are among the most common for which antibiotics are used. In cases of the non-severe disease, it is advisable to administer topical antibiotics (pulmonary). Such drugs include Fluimucil®-antibiotic IT. The effectiveness of the Fluimucil active substance — acetylcysteine — is associated with the chemical structure of the molecule. The sulfhydryl group contained in acetylcysteine can “break” disulfide bonds that connect protein molecules — mucoproteins, which are in mucus, lowering the viscosity of sputum. This article provides an overview of the literature data on the use of Fluimucil®-antibiotic IT in practice, including children. Here microbial spectrum of the drug effect, main indications for its use, contraindications, side effects are determined. The drug has a broad microbial spectrum of action, including gram-negative, gram-positive pathogens, as well as intracellular pathogens. The main diseases for which this drug is used — acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract and ENT-organs, suppurative complications. The article describes the clinical situation of the use of Fluimucil®-antibiotic IT.
