Comprehensive treatment of complications in acute respiratory infections

The rate of acute respiratory infections (ARI) and influenza is up to 95% in all infectious diseases structure. ARI and influenza incidence remains high. Acute diseases of the ENT-organs are included to the late complications of influenza and ARI that occur later than 5 days from the disease onset. Acute bacterial rhinosinusitis and acute laryngitis are the common complications of influenza and ARI in the ENT-organs. In actual clinical practice, it is optimal to use a therapeutic measures complex, an important component of which is local antibacterial and mucoactive therapy for the treatment of patients with otorhinolaryngological bacterial influenza and ARI complications (rhinosinusitis, laryngitis). Numerous clinical trials and observations have confirmed the high efficacy and good tolerance of comprehensive drugs, the effect of which is etiopathogenetically justified in acute rhinosinusitis and acute laryngitis. The drug Fluimucil®-antibiotic IT has proven itself in real clinical practice — it is a rational combination of the antibacterial drug thiamphenicol and the original mucoactive drug N-acetylcysteine. The combination of N-acetylcysteine and thiamphenicol effectively affects the main pathogens of acute rhinosinusitis and acute laryngitis, as well as biofilms. Nowadays, Fluimucil®-antibiotic IT is one of the few drugs being approved for administration in the cavities, including the paranasal sinuses cavity.
