The use of angioprotectors in the treatment of diabetic angiopathy: focus on calcium dobesilate

The article comprises the overview of published data on the use of calcium dobesilate in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy. The review presents the statistical data on the incidence of diabetes and incidence of its complications such as diabetic retinopathy, its etiology, pathomorphology, pathophysiology and clinical course. The review includes the data on the clinical application of calcium dobesilate (Doxi-Hem®), both in Russian Federation and abroad. The calcium dobesilate (Doxi-Hem®) is characterized by efficacy and safety in patients with diabetic retinopathy.
