Allergic rhinitis: modern view on ageless problem

The paper addresses the problem of allergic rhinitis (AR) and its key features. Special attention is paid to topical trials, showing a significant growth of population with this disease, including children, suffering from various forms of AR. Authors indicate key factors influencing prevalence of AR in industrial and socialdeveloped communities, measures to prevent AR development and persistence, as well as basic pathophysiological mechanisms of AR development. The article also presents AR common classification, diagnostic tests and methods for timely diagnosis, basic principles of differential diagnosis and key points to help doctors to diagnose this disease correctly. Authors discuss pharmacotherapy of AR, its basic principles and key classes of drugs. Also special attention is devoted to new medications - Eukazolin® Aqua and Elizey®, that showed their efficacy, accessibility, comfort use and significance among drugs for AR management.
